Creating Habits You'll Finally Keep
Hey friend! Have you read the book Atomic Habits? It’s a phenomenal book by James Clear about creating habits and changing your life.
One of my favorite quotes from the book is
“Every action you take is a vote for the person you wish to become."
So all of your actions are really votes or steps toward the person you want to be. If you want to be a successful entrepreneur, then every time you sit down to work on your business, you are casting a vote to become that person. Of course, every time you skip out on your scheduled time to work on your business and choose to chill and watch TV instead, you are voting for a different kind of person and life. But that’s ok once in a while because the truth is:
We aren’t going to be perfect or get it right 100% of the time.
However, if we cast the majority of our votes for the person we wish to become, THAT person will win, just like in an election.
If you want to be healthy and fit and eat a whole pizza one day, but then you get back on track the next day and you follow your food and workout plan pretty well for the next week, you’ve casted more votes for the fit and healthy person and you are well on your way to becoming her!
This way of thinking is full of grace.
It’s the one most likely to lead you toward success!
